On July 1, Rev. Peter Wehrly began his appointment as the new pastor at Lebanon First United Methodist Church. Rev. Wehrly and his wife Susan Meister moved into the parsonage on Harmon Drive from Galesburg, IL, where he most recently served as directing pastor of the United in Christ Parish (Galesburg Emmanuel and Faith and Knoxville UMCs).

Rev. Wehrly succeeded Rev. Joy Caschetta, who served Lebanon First from 2007-2011. Rev. Caschetta accepted a new appointment to Montgomery Good Shepherd’s Parish (Coffeen, Fillmore, Hillsboro, Irving and Witt).

“We are pleased to be a part of the Lebanon First congregation,” Wehrly said, “and look forward to being in ministry with all of you.

“Both Susan and I are so thankful for the warm hospitality we have felt in our new home. Let us serve God together.”
